Salted fish .... How to make?

yes my ah ma said pork leg also can. That is for barbarian err... sorry normal human like us. But how about vegetarian? They cannot take meat. So this recipe are all kind of peoples.

Okay this post is about salted fish......
Last week my aunt bring a lot of fish to us. Too much fish that our fridge cannot fit in....
so my mum decide to make salted fish.... my mum use sea bass '(ikan tenggiri' beh kah in hokkien)....

This i use example for ikan kembung( one kind of fish look like mackerel) . This portion for 1 fish only or 1 piece of fish, you can use any kind of fish.

1st clean the fish.... we don't want the gill and the tribe.. give that to your cat or trow into dustbin.

Take 5 piece of garlic and 1 or 2 shallots then crush them...

Take 10 piece of cili api small kind of chili (this follow your taste if you want it HOT add the whole bag) and chop it.


Then you need tamarind (asam jawa )in 2 table spoon mix with little water if you want... .

Salted(this is the main ingreedian if not why they name it salted fish right?) you need olny 1 0r 1/2 tea spoon only

And finally we need a sugar (this to make it taste better) you need only 1 teaspoon only


Mix all it together and put in lunch box rectangle type cover the it and put in the fridge in about 2 weeks.... . After that you can fried it. What's that? oh you no need to hang it to dry... pictures? sorry friend.. i want to take the pictures but by the time i bring down that camera, all buried in stomach already.
It taste less salty than we buy from store wan, Beside we don't know if they really make from really fresh fish. They can say that.. but did you trust 100%?

salted fish i oso know how to make,veli easy nia.no need resipe,1 step onli.

wanna know how? hahaha,just bang ur head on the wall la.Can become "ham yu". Easy,no?

Argh, salted fish.... Smells like unwashed socks, tastes like no other.
